Element 4 Signs & Graphics recently partnered with another signage company to help reimagine and refresh the STL facility in Lugoff, South Carolina. This creative collaboration led to the installation of several large-scale and highly customized visual features, blending design innovation with brand storytelling.

One of the most impressive aspects of the project was the installation of five massive 20’ x 20’ murals, each designed to reflect STL’s global footprint and industry leadership. The Element 4 team carefully surveyed each wall section, working around structural elements and executing a flawless production and installation process.

Another standout feature of the project is the custom monument sign crafted from a real fiber spool—a nod to STL’s core business of manufacturing and shipping fiber optic cables. The Element 4 team hand-selected a spool from STL’s inventory, then meticulously cleaned, sanded, sealed, and weatherproofed it. Dimensional acrylic lettering and vibrant printed graphics were applied to bring the company’s story to life in a bold, one-of-a-kind display.

Inside the facility, the transformation continued with an acrylic timeline installation in the lobby. Built from ½” thick acrylic plaques with reverse-printed graphics, the panels add depth and dimension while visually capturing STL’s rich history and growth over time.

“This was a fun project for me as it got us thinking outside the box a little,” said a representative from Element 4 Signs & Graphics. “We created a one-of-a-kind sign that tells the client’s story. The acrylic timeline really shows the company’s history, and the wall murals symbolize the size and scope of STL’s global presence.”

The STL Facility Refresh project exemplifies the creative, collaborative approach Element 4 Signs & Graphics brings to every engagement—combining craftsmanship, strategic design, and a deep understanding of each client’s brand.
