At Elements 4 Signs & Graphics, we believe that great signage is more than just a display—it’s an experience. When Rocket Convenience Stores approached us to design and install eye-catching signage for their new locations, we knew this project had to be something special. Completed in September 2024, this project was all about precision, durability, and visual impact.
Bringing the Vision to Life
Rocket Convenience Stores wanted signage that would stand out day and night, ensuring brand visibility from a distance while maintaining a sleek, professional aesthetic. To achieve this, we designed and installed four illuminated channel letter signs, including the massive Rocket logo and the striking Galaxy Grill sign.
The Art of Signage: Materials & Design
Every great sign starts with quality materials and thoughtful design. For this project, we used:
- Durable aluminum, acrylic, and vinyl to withstand weather conditions while maintaining a polished look.
- Internal LED lighting for bright, energy-efficient illumination both on the front of the letters and as a halo effect behind the letters.
- 3M translucent vinyl to achieve rich, uniform colors across multiple store locations.
Sign Dimensions:
- Rocket Channel Letter Logo: Over 13 feet wide and 4.5 feet high.
- Galaxy Grill Channel Letter Logo: 8.5 feet wide and over 8 feet high.
The goal was to create signs that were bold and highly visible, ensuring Rocket Convenience Stores had an unmistakable presence in every location.
Installation: Precision & Expertise
This project posed a unique challenge: each letter was individually mounted, requiring meticulous attention to detail. Our installation process included:
- Carefully placing mounting patterns to ensure precision.
- Drilling each mounting point and power connection.
- Using spacers to create a balanced, professional depth effect.
- Running low-voltage LED wiring behind the wall, connecting everything seamlessly to an interior power source.
- Coordinating with the on-site electrician to establish dedicated 120V power connections.
The result? A sleek, high-quality installation that looks just as stunning during the day as it does when illuminated at night.
The Process: From Concept to Completion
Design & Approval
We began designing the signs early in the construction phase, ensuring seamless integration with the building’s architecture. By securing design approvals in advance, we streamlined production and installation timelines.
Production & Permitting
Before production, we handled the permit application process, ensuring city compliance. The signs were fabricated efficiently, but since exterior construction was still in progress, we stored them safely until the site was ready.
Final Installation & Execution
Once the building was ready, our team moved swiftly to install the signs, taking great care to ensure perfect alignment, secure mounting, and flawless illumination.

Overcoming Challenges
